Rowan Lake is renowned for its excellent lake trout fishing. At Alexander’s even novice anglers take their limits of these deep water fighters without the assistance of fishing guides. Rowan is about 17 miles long and 7 miles wide, it has over 60 islands, the deepest part of the lake is 180 feet. Rowan Lake is a clear water lake with endless fishing structures, cabbage filled bays with weeds growing into 20 feet of water. Rowan Lake is well known for it’s “World Class Trophy” Muskie fishing. Rowan Lake is a destination for many novice and hardcore muskie hunters alike. Rowan hold lot’s of decent sized Northern Pike and is an has great Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass fishing. Rowan also has very good walleye fishing, especially in some of the shallower bays and in the nearby portage lakes.
Rowan Lake has no road access and the only way you can get into Rowan Lake is via float plane. Due to Rowan’s vast size and unlimited fishing structure, fishing pressure doesn’t exist. The only crowds up here are underwater!
