Packed and ready to go to camp!

Posted by:

Two years in a row, late ice out is keeping us in a holding pattern to get into camp and get the lodge open! The long term average ice out for Rowan lake us usually the last week in April – first week in May. The good news is it won’t be long! Ice conditions have rapidly deteriorated the past couple of days and we hope to get into camp this coming week to be ready for our first guests arriving in mid May.

After numerous hauls of supplies to the airbase and two trucks packed to the gills, we are ready to head north. The lake where the airbase is located in Nestor Falls and all the shallow stained water lakes in the area are now ice free. The air base will be sending a flight out in the next day or two to give us an ice report from Rowan Lake this weekend.

Should you have any questions about booking a trip yet for this season or about your upcoming trip, please give us a call at (807) 226-1234.

Keep a tight line and watch for our upcoming fishing reports soon!
