Water temps have been rising slowly, now in the mid 70’s. Most all muskies have been seen and caught on rocks in the mid 30’s to mid 40 inch stuff. The big girls have all been on mid lake reefs. Saw 8 fish two days ago guiding a clients Mark and Carla who were fly fishing for them not covering alot of water. They had 2 missed opportunities, neither of the in the net! A guy in camp who is here by him self in his 70’s caught 73 smallmouth today on his fly rod. “The best day of bass fishing in his life”, he said. That’s petty cool stuff!
A strong Lake Trout bite continues and the bass are shallow on there spawning beds. Muskie Opener is coming fast!

The new dock with some final touches is now set for many years of fishing memories on Rowan Lake!
The late spring has allowed for some great Lake Trout Fishing! The 2013 Fishing Season is off to a great start and we’ve had wonderful groups into camp so far and the fish are cooperating!
Next report….the new dock project and more fish!
