We survived!

Both Lynn and myself want to thank Jeremy Wade and his River Monster crew for being our guests recently.  What an experience seeing what all goes into making a fishing episode of River Monsters!

That’s all I’ll report about River Monster’s stay here on Rowan Lake as we’ll all be waiting for the show to air next April or May 2015….stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted when it actually shows.

It’s Happening Here….

Last weeks cold front has come and gone and stable weather set in setting up for perfect conditions.  That’s exactly what happened for many of our guest the past couple of days.

Last Friday night Scott Anderson released a whopper 50″ Muskie (see my previous report) and the next day Paul Vieth also boated a carbon copy monster 49″ both were caught on the Rowan Lake famous Stump Hawg spinner bait lure.  Paul and his fishing partner Mitch Albers raised 24 ...

Steve Pennaz & Lake Commandos TV were in camp

Our great friend Steve Pennaz went commando with Chris Hockley from Berkley Bait Co. last week chasing everything from Lake Trout, Small and Large Mouth Bass and Muskies.

Three Generations of the Anderson Family Tear Up Rowan Lake

Three generations of the Anderson family had a blast fishing here and something really BIG happened on the last hour of their trip!

The Anderson’s gang made their first trip here on Rowan Lake last summer and they came back to chase some of those big girls they saw last year.  A cold front came through at the start of their trip last week and the muskies as they always do after a cold front were being a bit shy.  The weather then stabilized ...
