SPRING HAS SPRUNG IN SUMMER FASHION
Ice came out on the 7th of May and has been warm ever since. With the water temperature sky rocketing up to 63 degrees as of today.
Trout – Lake trout fish has been wonderful. Trolling rattle traps has been the ticket. The trout seem to be moving deeper with the warmer weather.
Northern Pike – Pike fishing has been spotty but when you find them there are some big pike being caught. Twitch baits and rattle traps have been the key. Biggest so far has been 38” followed by a 37 and a 36 with many more over 30”.
Smallmouth Bass- The smallies have been wild with groups going out and catching over 💯 yes 💯 bass a day. If you find where they are it doesn’t matter what you throw.
Walleyes – Hill lake has been really good. People limiting out everytime they go in. Pink jig head with a live minnow will get them everytime.
