The middle of August has brought stable weather and cool temps with high’s in the 7o’s. Rowan Lake surface temps are down to 66-68 degrees. Way lower than the past two summers where we were pushing low 80’s for surface temps this time in August. We’ve had a full camp now for weeks and the fishing has been excellent. Most groups are targeting muskies. This past week lot’s of BIG fish have been showing up and have cooperating! Both Smallmouth Bass and Largemouth Bass fishing has been outstanding. Most bass are being caught on muskie baits. Just take a look at the pics below.
Heat and humidity is creeping in with strong south winds.
